Where to eat near Villa Beba
Our favourite tables in Zagreb and Samobor, from Michelin-starred tasting menus to štrukli and the famous kremšnita.

There are evenings when the outdoor kitchen and the bread oven are all you need. And there are evenings when it is nice to dress up and let someone else do the cooking. These are the places we like to recommend.

Zagreb: traditional and relaxed

Samobor
Samobor, a pretty old town about 30 minutes away, is worth a visit on its own.
- Gabreku 1929: the oldest restaurant in Samobor, open since 1929, with a dozen dishes still made to the original recipes.
- Samoborska klet: a family restaurant in the centre, with dishes from the grill, the spit and the peka, and its own homemade bread.
- Etno Kuća Stara Vura: traditional home cooking from old family recipes.
- Restoran Livada: known for its desserts, a tradition of three decades.
- And do not leave without a Samobor kremšnita, the town’s famous custard slice, from one of its pastry shops.
